It is becoming more common around the world that the winters are becoming more mild and shorter and the summers are longer which adversely affects Ski resorts. Many are looking for ways to maximize the use of their sites during the summer months and Luge Cart track is the perfect solution.
During Ski seasons the Luge track will be covered with snow and the Ski operations continue without interference. Come spring and snow melt, the Luge track will reappear and the Luge operation resumes for the summer. This was the perfect solution for the Sun Meadows Ski resort.
Their site was perfect for a twin-track design which gives the riders two different experiences over a distance of 950 meters. They began with a conservative-sized Cart fleet of 200 XL8 Luge carts, but after one season of operation have expressed a desire to expand that number to 350.
